America will always have a problem with illegal immigration. Immigration to the United States has become a complicated process in Tennessee with many procedures to follow. Here's what you need to know about the process and immigration bail bonds in Tennessee.
United States Immigration Law
The United States immigration law is called the Immigration and Naturalization Act (INA.) INA limits the number of permanent immigrants allowed to move to this country at 675,000.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is the federal agency that enforces our immigration laws. Their mission is to protect America from any illegal immigration that could threaten our national security.
In Tennessee, law enforcement must report anyone who violates the INA to ICE authorities. They must also contact ICE officials if they can't verify a suspect's legal status.
There are three main INA categories of immigration. These designations include family-based, employment-based and refugee designations.
Family-Based Immigration
This category allows a US citizen to sponsor their immediate foreign family members. Sponsors must meet age and financial requirements to sponsor these relatives.
Employment-Based Immigration
US immigration policy will also allow immigrants with significant skills to work in this country. There are two classifications for employment-based immigration:
Temporary Visa Classification
Temporary employment classifications allow employers to hire immigrants for a limited time. These temporary employees must work for the employer sponsoring them their entire time in this country.
Permanent Immigration
Permanent immigration refers to a non-US citizen who is legally living in the United States. Current immigration policies limit the permanent employment-based immigrants to 140,000 a year.
Refugees
Refugees can come to the United States if they fear persecution in their home country. Immigrants who fear race or religious persecution are eligible for this category. Refugees immigrate to the United States from a "transition country" that is outside their own country.
If an immigrant doesn't follow this legal immigration process, they are in this country illegally. If an illegal immigrant is taken into custody, that's when immigration bail bond procedures come into play.
Immigration bail bonds in Tennessee are deposited to the federal government. They guarantee that the immigrant will appear for all court proceedings to receive legal status to live in the United States.
Types of Immigration Bail Bonds
Detained immigrants can access two types of immigration bail bonds. If ICE believes that the detainee is not a threat to public safety, he/she can apply for any of these two bail bonds. They are delivery bonds and voluntary departure bonds.
Delivery Bonds
Delivery bonds guarantee a temporary release as long as detainees show up for their court proceedings. Delivery bonds allow immigrants to stay with their family and call an immigration lawyer to help them during the proceedings.
Voluntary Departure Bonds
If an immigrant is facing deportation, they can request a voluntary departure. A voluntary departure allows them to leave the country within 120 days to avoid detention.

Just wanted to thank you and your colleges for your good work on bailing out my wife. I found you guys on the internet and had reservations about this whole process, with it being much more complicated than a regular bail bond. Your company does know what they are doing and your insurance company is properly liscensed to perform Immigration bonds as referenced on the Dept. of Justice's list of certified surety companies. Everyone was quick to take my calls, answer my questions and respond to my emails. Just wanted to say thanks and hope that everything concludes happily for me and my family.
I'm sorry it has taken so long to write to you, but life has been very hectic since we last spoke. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate all your help and support during the time I was going through the process of obtaining an Immigration Bond. This was all new to me and as you know, it was also very stressful for me. But you were very patient with me, and guided me through all the steps of the process to a successful conclusion. No matter how many times I called you, you always took the time to help me and I never felt rushed or pressured. I'm sure you give this wonderful service to all your clients and I hope they appreciate you as much as I do. I hope to never have the need for this type of service again, but I will never forget your kindness and empathy. Many, many "Thanks" and "Good Luck" to you in all you do.
