Delivery Bond
This type of bond is to ensure that the person released returns to face all of their immigration proceedings. It allows a person to continue their life, get legal help and make arrangements with their family. ICE typically sets the minimum bond at $1,500, although a judge might lower the amount.
Departure Bond
This bond is a promise to voluntarily leave the country. A person must leave the country on their own, with their own funds, within a certain amount of time. The time allows a person to make arrangements for friends, family, and finances.
The minimum amount for this type of bond is $500. If the person does not leave by the time allowed, the bond is forfeited.
How Do I Get an Immigration Bail Bond Delaware?
You have two choices for an immigration bail bond in Delaware. They are:
Surety Bond (Bail Bondsman)
You (or your family and friends) pay 15-20% of the total bond amount, and bond agent puts up the remaining money to ICE. The amount paid to the agent is non-refundable.
Cash Bond
Any U.S. Citizen or permanent resident can deliver the full bond amount directly to ICE. The money is refunded once the person performs their duty (leave the country or attend all hearings.) Just be aware that the refund may take more than a year.
